Good day from New Zealand

Articles > Good day from New Zealand

A lot of people have asked me where I live and what is the New Zealand lifestyle like. I live in Nelson one of the most beautiful places in NZ, possible the world. Nelson has its own micro-climate with over 2,500 hours of sunshine a year. (Durban has 2,365 hours of sunshine a year)

The weather is temperate oceanic, the air is clean and fresh, consequently most of us live an outdoors lifestyle. Locals are actively involved in sport or physical activity of one kind or another, including: sailing, fishing, kayaking, wind surfing, kite surfing, paddle boarding, surfing and swimming. All these activities are available within 15 minutes of Nelson. In addition, we have mountain climbing, trekking, skiing, snowboarding, cycling and mountain biking, which are available within 1 hour.

Locally grown and produced food, wine and beer are easily available. Most people are fit, healthy and happy. We enjoy a very safe environment (no security costs), virtually free education & healthcare and property prices are reasonable.

The following links will show what the Nelson area is like, I hope you like what you see and visit soon.

With kind regards.

Bernard
